Is a speeding ticket a misdemeanor? Do I have to mention it?

So I got a civil speeding ticket about 6 months ago. Wasn't really a big deal; just went to a driving school thing. Do I need to mention this in the question about misdemeanors? If I do, is it a big deal to colleges?

I live in Arizona, if that helps.

bumppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

Speeding tickets are not misdemeanors. If anything they are an infraction. That’s how it is in California at least, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same way across the country. What kind of school asks if you have misdemeanors??

Oh ok, I’m not sure if it’s the same in AZ. It asks if you’ve been convicted of a misdemeanor on the common app

Don’t mention anything, even if you have had a DUI.

They will never know.

???

Profit!

I cannot imagine colleges caring that you got a speeding ticket, unless you were doing 100 in a 25 or something like that.

They need not be mentioned.
