S has a doc appt on Tuesday and while we are there, I was wondering if Caltech requires a Tb test, so that we can get that taken care of.

The results have to be read by a health care provider within the 6 months prior to starting Caltech.
So if tech begins in mid Sept, you’ll be okay.
If tech begins classes the 3rd week of Sept then next week will be too soon.
Timing is important.

Here’s the health center website where it talks about this:
[Caltech Student Health Center](http://www.healthcenter.caltech.edu/TB%20Test.htm)

A TB test is required.

Unfortunately, Tech doesn’t start until the 23rd of September which is lightly outside of 6 months from next week.

^ how am I failing at math? This is the 4th month, plus 6 months equals the 10th month of the year… aka October, not September So we ARE inside the 6 months, aren’t we?

You are correct.
I incorrectly started counted with April-1, M-2, J-3, J-4, A-5, S-6.
May should have been 1.

LOL so did I pass the Caltech entrance exam? :-)

That was the pre-pretest.

Oh darn, I’m in serious trouble ;-)

Hey, but growing up I loved Carl Sagan and Omni magazine… does that count for anything? :-)

No way! My son had his physical and Tb test in January. Bummer! He hated it; he’s scared to death of needles and now he’ll have to do it again. Oh dear. I wonder why his doctor didn’t think of that?
