I'm currently a senior who wants to go into business with a marketing focus. I've been looking into the UCs/CSUs, and I was wondering, which would be better for what I want to do? Also, which schools from both sytems have a stronger business program? I heard UCR and UCB are the only ones that actually offer undergrad business and that SDSU and CSUFullerton are the better CSUs for business. Are these things true? Any info would come in handy! Thanks!

I don’t know your stats, so I’m not sure where to point you. If you can get into UC Berkeley, go there.

If you can get into SDSU, go there. I’d say the business programs at Cal Poly SLO & Pomona & CSU Long Beach are good. Cal Poly SLO would be difficult to get into like UC Berkeley. Depending on which CSU you want to go to, if you’re out of their service area it could also be difficult to get into those schools as well.

CSU’s will teach you the skills you need to go into the work force after getting a bachelor’s. UC’s will prepare you for graduate school.

Caldud is right. CSUs prepare you for the work force where UCs prepare you to pursue higher education. It’s not set in stone though. The 3 full fledged UC business programs are UC Berkeley, UC irvine and UC riverside. Berkeley is one of the top undergrad programs in the nation. Irvine and riverside are about even.
