Does a volunteer/unpaid internship at a nonprofit organization that fights for a particular cause go in the “Community Service” section of extracurriculars on the common app? I am just curious because I helped with administration/finances, which is super important, but I didn’t directly help the cause. Someone please let me know 
You could count it as community service or work experience. I think colleges will be less concerned with what you categorize it as versus what you did with the organization.
