I just visited SD during the Thanksgiving break, but I was wondering if it would be worth it to attend the admit day. I live in Sacramento, so it would be a drive and I am a winter admit and got into Berkeley so SD just became a little less appealing to me. I just am not sure if it is worth it or I'm just gonna get the same type of tour that I got the first time I went.

not worth it, a better option is to go during a normal school day with a friend and explore yourself. every school always paints their campus real pretty during their admit days…

(sac’s not that far, it’s 7 hours door-to-door for me :))

Hey masterhammy, a fellow Sacramentan and also in Muir !?! I’m not going to Admit Day either but I got a good sense of the place last April on a college tour of all the UCs. Berkeley’s reputation is certainly tempting but do you really want to choose Telegraph Avenue over the beach?

take Astrina’s advice.

i went to admit day, and it felt ridiculously long since it started early. they just walk you around, tell you…this is the _____ building, and answer questions you could get answers to in google or even on here. if you know someone that attends ucsd, ask them to take you around. that would probably be more worthwhile.
