I like to major in marketing with focus on advertising. I know there's different ways to go about it, there are schools that focus on the business side of advertising and some on the art side. If i go to a university that's on the business side i would have to take classes related to business (math, accounting etc), art schools emphasize art classes (3d design etc). Math is not my strongest subject so would you recommend i get in an art school? The answer is probably yes, but would it make any difference if i got my bachelors through an art school or a business school? is one better than the other? Do they prefer graduates to have graduated studying the business side of advertising or does it not really matter?

Business side if you want to come up with the and control the ideas for advertising, art side if you want to create the advertisements.

Yeah, if you want to learn how to design ads and such than I suggest you major in graphic arts of something of that nature, but that doesnt have much to do with marketing. Marketing is a business major.

Math in business is a joke. I wouldn't worry about that.
