Advertising is something that interests me (pretty much the only thing). I need some general advice from someone who either has worked in advertising, majors in advertising/marketing or knows something about this field. How creative do you have to be? I'm not really good at designing by hand or drawing, but designing ads using computer software should be a lot easier right? Does the school and degree you have affect your chances in getting a good job or is it mostly the skills you have that make the difference? I generally don't like the business atmosphere and working in a office all day, is this what advertising is about? Is it true that it is a fun part of business? If i do decide to work on my own, what can i do with a degree in advertising and work for myself, as a freelancer? What are some career opportunities and the best way to go about it? I'm currently in college taking general courses to transfer to a state university. Should i go to an art school or get a degree thru a state university?
