I already completed all my GE’s and I’m working on the last few classes to earn a total of 63 units while knocking out some art classes that are related to my Studio Arts major. Last I checked (before the my.coast website went down) I had a 3.60 G.P.A so I’m pretty sure I can transfer no problem.
The reason why I’m asking this question is because when I filed an application for an AA-T at OCC I goofed up and submitted the “Petition for Graduation” instead of the “Associates degree for Transfer Graduation petition.” I didn’t realize this until 3 weeks after the deadline when CSULB sent me a reminder to verify my ADT. So basically, I printed out the physical copy of the ADT verification form and had the lady, who was working at the enrollment office at OCC, sign it off. Here’s where the problem is- when the lady went to look for my information, she couldn’t find it because I submitted the wrong form. So when she did find it, the lady asked me to fill it out the correct sheet (even though its 3 weeks past the deadline) and she’ll try to submit it despite the E-verify and the my.coast server being offline.
What I’m wondering right now is- Is an Associates Degree Transfer required for transferring into CSULB?
I’ve heard from my guidance counselor was that it wasn’t really necessary- because I remember him telling me that it was more like a boon, and if I fulfill the requirements then mind as well get it. I also checked the transfer requirements from the CSULB and I don’t see it listed. There’s is a subsection though stating that the ADT gives students more priority and a 0.1 bump in their g.p.a, but I’m not sure if it counts as one of the requirements to transfer.
I dunno. I’m worried because if the ADT is required and if the lady working at the enrollment office wasn’t able to submit my Associates Degree for Graduation for Petition form then I think I’m screwed. >.< On the flip-side, the lady who was working at the enrollment office turned out to be the head-honcho for the transfer thingy since her name and contact information was printed on the petition sheet so I’m sure she’s important…-ish. So, yeah, 40% of me feels re-assured while 60% is worried… because I’m not sure if CSULB will fault me for misreporting information even though I’ll have all the requirements (both G.E and ADT) done by the end of spring. The only thing I goofed up on was submitting the wrong petition form at OCC… So I think I’m okay right?.. >_>
