Is an Ivy-League possible?

Hey guys, new to College Confidential! My question is:
I have always dreamed of attending an Ivy League or some school with ultimate prestige, I guess I assessed my priorities too late in life.

I am currently an undergraduate freshman at a small private catholic college in Iowa. My GPA in high school was awful as were my test scores. Currently I am a philosophy major and would like to go to Law School. I guess my question is: is an Ivy League School even possible? Can I get a stellar GPA, and gradually keep transferring to better schools? As unlikely as this is, is this a possible path? As of now I have a 3.9 GPA and was planning on transferring to a state school such as U of Iowa, U of Connecticut, PSU, MSU, or even U of Wisconsin. Has anyone ever heard of such stories?

You won't crush my dream with an honest answer! Haha. Is there any path I can take to someday in life attending a highly prestigious University?

PS: I dont know if this helps but I come from an upper class family in West Des Moines, Iowa. I am not a student who would need some form of financial aid.

the transfer rate for Ivies is absolutely dismal. I’d say your chance is slim to none. Instead, why not seek out a “better” school that also fits what you want (location, size, etc)? There are plenty of wonderful, well-thought-of institutions that have a much more realistic transfer rate.

I’m just a high school senior, though, so don’t take my word for it!
