Is an RD acceptance before May 1 binding?

<p>a question-- since c.poly makes you accept admission before applying for housing, is it binding? Can a student cancel their acceptance for some reason? in other words-most kids havent heard back from other colleges yet so usually wait till they hear or up till may 1. But since housing is first come first serve I can see wanting to apply asap when it opens for regular admission students.</p>

<p>how much is the deposit for accepting admission? and is any of it refundable if a student gets accepted to another school and decides to go with that one?</p>

<p>You don’t have to pay a deposit to accept admission. You do have to put down an $800 deposit for housing when you apply for it. You don’t pay any tuition until you actually enroll in classes (late summer, I think). You might want to check with the Housing office to confirm, but I’m pretty sure the $800 housing deposit is refundable if you end up going to a different school.</p>
