Is an undergrad business major "not enough" substance?

Is it unwise to major in undergraduate business without pursuing another simultaneous technical degree? I've been told that if you major in business without another degree in math or computer science or the like, then your career outlook does not seem good. How true is this?

Funny man is funny.

Whoever told you that must live in a cave.

1) By whom? A person with the credentials to make such a generalized statement?

2) Anyone who believes that a major is the determinant for success is a moron.

Can you be more specific? What are you talking about exactly?

+1

I’ve mostly heard that from others on this forum, in other threads. I also know a few people who used this as justification to do something other than business for undergrad studies. I realize they could be wrong or misinformed, so I was hoping someone who knew more about it could offer their perspective on this forum.

Could it be that some business jobs would require a math degree? What sorts would fall under that category (if they exist)?

@Medwell–I’m talking about a Business Administration degree. I’ve actually always wanted to pursue one, but some of what I read on these forums makes me second guess that decision.

Just person opinion. I think it is too general to be practical. It does not necessarily give you a special skill as accounting, finance, or IT majors do. A lot of jobs that look for business administration degrees are manager roles. So it makes harder to find an entry level position when most jobs are looking for manager roles. Just my two cents.
