Is anybody else still waiting?

My son is still waiting for his decision. The online status says it's complete.

I’m still waiting! Where do you live, handemom? I’m in Arkansas. The USPS must be toying with us…

I’m in NYC so I don’t think it’s USPS on this end. Out last name starts with Z so if it’s in alpha order that may explain.

My last name begins with a Y, so… yes, that would explain that! :)

let’s hope so.

Still waiting in NY and we are a Z also

If it’s true that some colleges sent out acceptances in batches by alphabetical order, don’t you think it would be fair to switch it up and do it in reverse alphabetical order every other year?

It reminds me of an episode I watched of Jon & Kate, where Kate admitted that part of being organized and less chaotic when the kids needed to take turns doing things was to go by birth order. But now she realizes it’s time to switch it up and let the youngest go first, and the oldest go last. Somehow, it seems to me that the kids in the middle never make headway with this type of arrangement, though.

It shouldn’t take this long for Ys and Zs. We’re “H” and got the letter on Tuesday.

No letters arrived to Germany either…If they dont send emails I will have to wait loooong

im a “w” in new jersey and nothing yet. dying from the suspense

Please don’t shot the messenger…we are a 'W" on West Coast and we rec’d our letter on Thursday.

Which doesn’t mean you won’t still get some wonderful news. It just means that it probably isn’t done alphabetically.

My fingers are crossed for all of you. Good Luck !!!

There goes that theory!

maybe they send it out in the order that they received the application

^^ that makes much more sense. My D’s friend works in the admissions office. If I remember, I’ll ask D to ask friend if there’s any rhyme or reason as to how they send out notifications.

Mattman - Regarding your possible theory that letters are sent out in the order that they are rec’d.

I checked our records and we sent in our application and the supplement on November 28, 2008. We used the common application.

Hope that helps. Good Luck again.

that makes sense bc i sent mine in pretty close to the deadline

My son sent in his app in early November and I think it was complete (transcripts, recs) about 2 week later, so it was fairly early in the process.

I do think he is borderline for this school. We did tour, but he didn’t interview, so his must be in 1 of those piles that can can either way.

Im still waiting too, but I am an International from Germany though…mails can take long to get here

Got an email today from someone at the admission office congratulating on my admission to Muhlenberg. But I still haven’t received the acceptance letter, Ha. Must be mail problem—I’m an international.

^^^

That’s really strange, Bcash. My D has never received an email, but got the snail mail in lightening time—last Tuesday. Why do some applicants get an email and others snail mail? It doesn’t make sense. Very little about the admissions process makes sense, at Muhlenberg or any other institution.
