Is anyone aware of any online pre-AP German III classes?

D needs to take pre-AP German III but has a schedule conflict. The one source of online pre-AP German III has now restricted its enrollment to their own full time students. Oklahoma State and Indiana U both offer on-line German III, but not pre-AP. I've read about 12 pages of google results, but no pre-AP classes. Does anyone know of one?

I googled because I wasn’t sure what defines “Pre-AP” and found this from the college board:

I take that to mean regular German III would be the right course. You could look at the syllabus and see if that’s the right placement.

Just wanted to add, the third language course in college may be quite a bit ahead of the third course in high school.

If the on-line provider does not label the course as Pre-AP (Honors might work, too) the school will not give the course the extra weighting the on-campus Pre-AP class would have had. Our school gives 10 points weight to pre-AP (e.g a 90 in pre-AP = a 100 in regular). I happen to be the mother of Miss 61 out of 600, so a tiny increase in GPA points means a lot to her.

These are on-line high school courses, taken through the colleges. Most kids at our HS take their on-line courses through the Texas Tech extension program, but they don’t offer German.

Wow, that must create a lot of craziness. Our school district only allows seniors to take college courses for credit and then only to replace a block at school. They might accept out of school coursework for placement if the students passed the corresponding final exam but never for credit.

They aren’t college courses. They are high school courses. (Texas Tech actually offers K-12 online classes.)

This one says “Gifted”, is that good enough for honors?

If she can figure out the right level, she can take college courses at

A college course would get at least honors weighting I would think. It might be really hard though.

I think the issue has been solved. I don’t think there are any such programs, so the teacher is going to teach a few of them German III in a room with German II students. She’ll get the weighting without having to take an on-line class.
