Is anyone confirming housing and not enrollment?

It seems very unethical to confirm housing without knowing if you'll attend.. and it seems unlikely there will be won't be reprocussions.. I don't know what to do. I know there's another thread, but I am so confused.

I believe you have to confirm enrollment (e.g., pay fees) before you can get to the housing control section on eLiving. At least we had to do so when we confirmed housing for my daughter. It is my understanding that if she chooses not to attend, we will forfeit the $300 worth of fees paid to confirm enrollment. Could be different but that is how I remember when we did so in December.

Brainfart on above post. We did that for PSU and not UMD in December. Sorry.

We did this for my daughter - confirmed housing, not enrollment. I even called and asked, they said it was not a problem. I thought perhaps the web page logic was fouled up, but apparently, it is ok. The program should not allow you to do it if it is not OK.

I think it was Residence Life that I spoke to. You should call and check. I had no problem getting through.
