Is anyone else annoyed with the "2310, should I retake?!?"

Seriously, I have no problem with overacheivers but come on!! I've seen people disappointed with 770 on a section. I got a decent score in my first sitting of the SAT, but I'm retaking it, so I can somewhat understand perfectionism. Sometimes, though, I have a feeling some of you are just fishing for attention. I wouldn't really be surprised to see a "2380, I thought I'd do better". Just calm down. If you got a 2300+ on the SAT, there's probably no need to repeat mental agony.

Is anyone else annoyed with the "2310, should I retake?!?"

Yes.

Yeah, I can understand a 2200 wanting to re-take... but not a 2300+ scorer...

Yeah, it is pretty annoying.

don't be bitter. if someone wants to retake a 2310, let them. It's not your place to criticize them. On that note, i retook a 2340 and got a 2370, so it's not that bad of an idea to retake a high score.

That's fine for people to retake, it's just stupud when people feign ignorance and need to 'ask' whether they need to retake it.

shouldn't you feel flattered that they are deeming to ask your opinion?

HEY!!! You just retook a 2340 to get a 2370, and now you want to retake the 2370 (refer to his other thread)?!?!?! You're more crazy than I initially thought, and I like that! But I hope you're not the type who cries if you're not accepted into Harvard, because then you will recieve pity rather than the recognition that you worked so hard your entire life to get. Now that is classic irony--I'm like Shakespeare yo!

I don't feel flattery, awe, or any other feeling of elation when I speak to someone with a higher SAT score than I.

I don't feel flattery, awe, or any other feeling of elation when I speak to someone with a higher SAT score than I.

I do.

lol, I'm with you brother!!! Ashraf is just on a higher plane than us, but he/she must be lonely at the top!

Oh, I'm not on a higher plane -- just a different one where solving useful problems is more praiseworthy than a score on a standardized test :)

I have a useful problem: I suck, how can I unsuck? Solve that!

Easy -- place yourself in a vacuum, thereby eliminating your ability to suck! lol

Is anyone else annoyed with the "2310, should I retake?!?"

Yes.

Ashraf, Your answer is incorrect, since it is not within the range:
go touch yourself < x < I don't care, go to hell!

Obviously you're not ready for the SAT.

"I don't feel flattery, awe, or any other feeling of elation when I speak to someone with a higher SAT score than I."

you said it best.

FLATTERY? Wow... stop being so arrogant.

I can understand a 2200 wanting to retake, but a 2300 wanting to retake has some issues. Besides, those who cling onto high SAT scores really want to hold onto the idea that they are weighed more than other parts of your application; thus, they may not have gotten high grades but need the high SAT scores to make themselves feel secure.
I can also understand b/c many people who are logged onto this site are overachievers.

I don't care if people have enough money so that it's not a problem if they want to take it again to do better (no matter what the score), but don't act aggrivated with a near-perfect score like it's the end of the world. seriously, some people like me are just trying to break 2000.
