i just submitted everything! which was oddly anticlimactic, but it's bizarre to come to terms with all future decisions' being officially out of my hands...
good luck to all ^^

Congrats on getting your app in! Good luck to you and other ED kids - you'll be glad to get that early response (I certainly was - just remember that all the answers, including acceptances, come in small envelopes!! haha)! :)

I am!

Still working on that Why Swat essay...

(I'm new, I have been lurking but I figure in this next month of waiting I'm going to be worrying about Swat so much that it would be good to have a support group...)

Anywho, I'm applying ED too. And so is almost everyone I know... It's going to make for a very awkward December.

haha. well, brillar, welcome to your support group. join us in our ridiculous and pointless worrying.

actually, nobody else i know is applying to swat ED. less awkward, i guess, but just as nerve-wracking..

This month is going to be... ugh. I had a nightmare the other day that I accidentally forgot to send in my essays.

The smart thing to do now would be ignoring this board and trying desperately to fall in love with other schools. But, nah, I'll just obsess over Swat more and it'll end with either extreme happiness or sadness.

I just put the stamps on...

I had a dream the other night that I got into Swat. Felt like it lasted for about three hours, too, so I was completely convinced even when I woke up. It was the worst feeling ever when I realized I still hadn't applied, haha.

Ugh, yeah, that would be terrible. I'll probably get that one (or maybe the opposite- the nightmare of being rejected) next month.

GAAAAAAH. <----- Noise of frustration.

Must. Finish. Essays.

One of my best friends is applying ED1 - she's very anxious/stressed/excited.

Good luck to you all!! (I'll be applying RD.)

I applied early!!! SO EXCITED!!!

Okay so it's 11:38 and I just submitted all the online stuff and the payment.

Yeah, I left it to the last second. But I'm very happy with everything, huzzah!

I can't believe that I'll know a month from now... wow. (I'll say it again backwards- wow.)

Good luck everyone!

I applied ED also! Good luck to all the other Swat ED applicants!

hey, does anyone know if swarthmore send out confirmation emails after they received your materials?
I sent my app materials on 14th and i think they won't be arriving before monday :(

hmm...i'm pretty sure they don't, since they don't send admissions decisions by e-mail, either. i'd call the admissions office sometime within the week to ensure that everything's in its place.

So where are you guys from?
I live about 15 minutes away, in Radnor, Pennsylvania...I've been looking online to see when they mail the notification letters--I've seen a couple Dec. 11s and a Dec. 13, since they don't notify online. Can't wait! Good luck guys!!!

Hey, I have a friend in Radnor PA! We went to the gov school for teaching together.

I'm in Lancaster- so I'm pretty close to Swat too.

You'll get yours pretty early because you're local- I think they mail around the 11th. So you'll get yours the 12th, and depending on distance others will get theirs a little later. I should get mine relatively early too.

International students get email notifications, but that's it.

i'm a new yorker; i guess i'll get my stuff around the 13th?

(hopefully favorable stuff, but stuff nonetheless.)

I'm from Philly, and I got my ED letter on the 12th last year...I wouldn't expect it any earlier than that...add a day or a few depending on where you live. :)

Has anyone applying ED heard from admissions that their application was complete, or that anything was missing in their file? My son e-mailed admissions and they said that they will notify his school if something was missing in his file.
