Nope, I don't think we get any notice if our application is complete- only if something is missing, like admissions said. At least I haven't gotten anything...

Brillar is right...I called Swat Admissions and they can't give confirmation that the applications are complete--they'll just call us if there's something missing.

Three weeks!!!

so...can i call them to get the adimssion decision in Dec?
i live abroad so it almost take months to receive by mail...

thx to Lstern89,I am just wondering whether they will notify us if materials are complete

Isa, they will email you during the week of the 15th of your decision, as you are an international student. Good luck!

So now we all wait. =D How many days until the week of the 15th again?

thank you lstern
im excited...and scared...

My son just got an e-mail from Swarthmore giving him his ID number and password. He was able to log into the Application Checklist. It said everything was received except his counselor rec. This is rather odd since the secondary school report and teacher recs were sent with it, and they are listed as received. Anyway Swarthmore is asking that no one calls them about missing info. They said they'll contact the applicant. I'm guessing that this online info is new this year. :)

Sigh...

I'm wishing I had applied ED1 to Swarthmore. My dad wanted me to wait so we could compare financial packages though...

Bah, I received the email with the ID as well and did the One-Time Password Retrieval thing, but it declares 'invalid login credentials' repeatedly. I'll have to email them in the morning, I guess, because I'd like to check on everything! I sent self-marked postcards with each parts of my application that I mailed and I got them all back, though, so I guess they got everything.

How many days until the 12th or 13th again? =D

I got into the admissions checklist but it tells me there are currently no checklist items for me yet.

I wish I had thought of sending self addressed postcards! Aargh! I mean, it was only one envelope, so I'm pretty sure it go there... My guidance counselor is supposed to be the best when it comes to those things, so I'm hoping none of it escaped from the time it left my hands until the time Swat got it.

Financial aid is a big thing for me, but I'm pretty sure Swat will be able to pull through. I'm glad we can get out of ED if we don't get enough aid- I wouldn't have applied ED otherwise.

i found my fin-aid documents not on the list...
does this mean that they didn't receive it?

and!
why are SATI and SATI writing listed seperately??
they read sta essays????!!!!!

Fin-aid isn't on the list whether they got it or not. Maybe because you can be accepted without it? They don't have mine yet... (ugh).

They look at the SAT Writing score but I read somewhere that they don't read the timed essays. They think the essays you write for your application are a better measure of your writing abilities. Which is true, because I know my SAT essay was baaaaaaad. I can't do timed writings, I'm way too slow.

UGH. I'm so angry- my mom is going to know whether I was accepted or denied before me because she's going to start getting the mail just for the second week of December. I'm going to whine, I want to know first....

so why? they send to parents first? doesn't sound true..

No, lol, it's because she can get to the mail box before I can. The mail man comes at around noon, when she is home, and I don't get home until about 3:00.

Lstern89, you can't just ask where we're from like that. That's rude. At least ask us out to drinks first...
I'm pretty local too, though. So A) we're almost directly competing, B) we'll probably get out letters on the same day, and C) i'm so close you COULD ask me out for a drink.
Sadly, we're 18 or younger, so I'd have to reject you (among other reasons).

I'm from California! Woo. Anyone else out-of-state?

i'm out-of-planet

Same here, isa.
