I came back a bit over a week ago and I've been so bored at home -__-

I've hung out with some of my high school friends and it was great, but everyone has such different schedules that it's hard to hang out with anyone. I've been really bored or I'm working haha.

Heh, a little. I’m glad I’m doing summer school or else I’d have three months of nothing to do. Most of my HS friends are not gonna be in town, most of my college friends aren’t from my town. I’m only here for about a week before I start classes so it’s not too bad.

Hell no. I love sleeping til noon a few times a week and being able to read or go on bike rides, etc. This is my first summer not taking classes because I couldn’t afford it, so I’m gonna study and be lazy. Hopefully I’ll get this internship that I’m interviewing for tomorrow so I can have some cash, too.

Yes I am so bored. I was suppose to start work this week but the place I work for is closed for the week to do cleaning. It’s only 6 hrs a week but it’s enough to keep me busy once summer school starts in a month. Until then I will enjoy my lazy week of sleeping in, cleaning, reading, playing with my dogs, visiting family, and studying for my summer course. I cannot wait until next week to actually have something to do although it looks like it may be a slow first week since I have no assessments to do. I am glad to have little time off because my dog is dying sometime soon since his organs are shutting down so we are hoping he will pass away peacefully but he may need some assistance. My great grandmother also has organs shutting down and her heart is functioning below 50% so we are thankfully she does not have to go hospice yet, but it is great hard to hear this news when your birthday is 1 day away.

Enjoy the time off because you never know when you are going to need it until you become busy.

I wouldn’t say I’m bored of it, but I do kind of miss the busy, productive feeling I have while at college. Even though I’m working and studying a little, it isn’t the same during summer. Of course it’s nice to be able to read books without having to analyze them, go a few days without checking my email, and do things on a whim without having to weigh how much extra time and unfinished work I have.

heh I’m like the opposite. At the end of school I was like Brett Favre (and no, not that way), feeling all like, “I think I’ve got some more left. Just let me keep going for another week or two.”

Now I’m too lazy to put any effort into anything. I’ll take my vacation.

I miss the social atmosphere, definitely, though I appreciate the break from work. I’ll be less bored when I start my study abroad this summer.

Well, when you’re in high school, summer just means no more school, and you’re still in the same place with the same friends. A lot of us now live and go to school very far away from where we used to, and thus summer means not only no more class, but living somewhere else and not being with the friends we’ve spent all day every day with for months on end.

Yeah, I’m sick of working 40+ hour weeks without being considered full time. I miss my independence and friends. Definitely not the school work, studying, and stress.

I probably should get a job, but I’m trying to self-study Calculus and Biology this summer in order to take the CLEP exam and get out of them during the school year and graduate on time.

A lot of my friends are taking summer school. I never knew how popular that was until now. Apparently a lot of people actually do fail classes freshman year. :-/

My summer classes just started today, so I’m going to dedicate about 90% of my energy to that. Before this, I spent 100% of my time doing absolutely nothing.

Are you sure they’re all retaking courses? At my school a lot of people (myself included) do summer school to get ahead or just have something to do during the summer.

I’ve been pretty bored at home too, but I went overseas for two weeks after school ended May 9th and I only came back a few days ago, so I wouldn’t say I’ve been bored of summer yet. It’s just kind of a bummer because all my good friends from college live elsewhere and all my high school friends conveniently go to schools on the quarter system that don’t get out for another two weeks. But I’ve been having fun sleeping in, reading a lot of novels, catching up on TV shows, etc. After a few weeks, I’m going to start a lab internship and take a calc course at community college so I’ll be busy anyway.

I just got back from visiting family in Georgia and I started a summer class today. But I’m still bored. >.<

I plan on watching lots of TV shows, finally getting my license, writing and reading a lot more, getting my other two wisdom teeth removed, getting a job (yeah, right…) or at the very least volunteer. I’m also going to the shore but that’s not til July. I already know I’m gonna be bored though. I’m not very motivated to do things outside of my home when it is not necessary, lol. Especially with no mode of transportation (besides public).

I know my parents are going to rely on me to clean the house, do laundry, baby-sit, cook and other stuff for them so that’s why I want at least a part-time job, to get out of the house every once in a while.
