I have (4) exams this year.
AP Lang I'm not that worried about, I mean I'll go over a few old tests.
However, AP Biology is freaking me out. I've had a sub par experience, and I find that I'm not retaining what I need to.
APUSH is a joke class for me and AP Stat, well I'm hoping it'll be easy.

I mean who doesn't want to spend their entire spring break cramming for AP Biology & APUSH? .......:(

To some extent. I only have two this year to worry about: AP Biology and AP US Gov and Politics. It’s unfortunate that we’re really behind in both class (especially US Gov).

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find it difficult to make time in my schedule to start studying for those exams - b/c I get so much homework (aka busywork) from my non-AP classes. And I get homework practically 7:00 PM everyday (unless I skip my research class), but by that time I have no energy in me. But thankfully, that class ends next week and you have no idea how excited I am :).

I have the same problem for AP Bio when it comes to retention - I find that when I say things out loud, I tend to recall things better. The only drawback is that it can be time-consuming and rather tedious.

But for my spring break - I’m probably going to spend a day at nearby university and then study in their library. I can never get things done at home because of the distractions.

I feel like times running out so fast! I think I’ll make flashcards for AP Biology just because there’s too much to cover if I just sit and memorize a piece of paper.

I’m planning on disecting AMSCO for APUSH, and I’m sure I can finish that within 4 days.

I am freaking out, mainly because I’m taking a lot of exams; however, the only one that really scares me is Eng Lang. I don’t know how to analyze… =( I’ll be happy to get a 3, though I aim for a 4.

Ryanxing, I think that English lang won’t be overly difficult. Though the percentage of 5’s was just shy of 7%, I believe that if you go over the terms of literary analysis and you have a somewhat advanced level of writting, you should be fine. Also, try to find some websites that have sample Q’s.

That’s the only ap exam I’m not sweating about. AP Bio is my own personal nightmare.

Lol, we’re opposites. I have no worries about AP Bio since I consistently received 5’s on practice exams, while I failed practice questions for AP Lang (missing half the questions on MC, receiving a 5 out of 9 on the synthesis essay, and blanking out on analysis essays). I’m surprised because I scored relatively high scores on the SAT (680 for CR, and 700 for W). For AP Lang the answers are so subtle, a situation that I have not encountered until now. On the of that the curve for AP Lang is not lenient at all.

Calc BC: Straightforward, don’t expect a problem.
Stats: Easy.
Lang: Easy.
Bio: I’ll fail, but I don’t really care about getting credit for that one.

OMG, me too.
I have Psych, Human Geo, Envi Sci this year. Those exams are somewhat easier than others as most people say. But this is my 1st year taking any AP exams.
Uuhh, I’m having spring break right now. And I have a hard time concentrating. For example, I feel the urge to finish this book while studying or other educational things other than AP. I don’t know why, I study more effectively during school days.
Any advice?
–>Have to get back to study now :)

Don’t fret all that much about English Language. I was one of those kids in the 7% and I never thought English was a strong point. You can’t really do anything for it, so just sit back and hope for the best to be honest.

I’m doing horrible so far tho. I’m missing almost half the questions on practice MC sections. I got an average score on the synthesis essay, and I blank out on analysis essays. Any advice? =[

^^ First off, calm down. I wouldn’t worry too much about the MC. I was averaging about half of them right, plus the actual AP questions are usually a lot easier than the ones your teacher will give you.
The only way to get better at essay writing is to practice. That’s what you should be doing in your AP class. We spent a quarter on Rhetorical Analysis Essays, a quarter on Persuasive Essays, and the whole 2nd semester on Synthesis Essays. So as you can imagine we were VERY well prepared for the essay portion. Become familiar with the rhetorical devices for the analysis essay and just practice. That’s the only way to get better. But I imagine your class is probably helping a lot more than you think. Your teacher probably grades a lot harder on the essays also than the AP graders.

^oh, yeah, you’re kinda need a teacher to evaluate your essays.

If you want to have mature prose style, I recommend reading a college-level grammar handbook. The one I used is Bedford Handbook. For MC, you could always read more essays and increase your understanding by rhetorically analyzing it. And when you do the MC, annotating is helpful.

YES. I want time to pass quickly so I can vacation my ass off in the summer but I get all panicky whenever I think about how soon May is approaching right now. My AP exam is rumoured to be fairly easy but I’m really unprepared right now.

Still havent started self-studying for Envi-sci, it could end terribly.
But other than that, I have to stop going on cc, it’s cutting into my study time. procrasination is quite addicting.

I’m freaking out about APUSH…we’re still on World War I. my other four should be fine as long as I start studying soon - I’ve understood the materials all throughout the year.

Oh my god. I am so freaking nervous. I cannot believe May is coming so quickly. Last year with just AP Bio and World History, I wasn’t as screwed as I am now. Hopefully I can pull six more 5s!!

Ok APUSH! We haven’t even finished the Mexican-American war. I AM SCREWED!! AMSCO will be my best friend for the next month:) I hope it’s enough!!!
