"truthfully, if you're already accepted into A COLLEGE, there's no reason to be nervous. I mean, no matter what, you're going to college so whether you get into Columbia or not, it shouldn't matter. Worrying doesn't help."
You'd think I'd be extremely nervous, having not been accepted yet and I applied to difficult schools (UNC, duke, CU). I'm kinda nervous about decisions. I've been counting down the hours since we've been at 132 (for Duke, 3/30 at 7), but now thats down to the 80's, so it seems to be going pretty fast, I guess because of work, and watching the tourney. How can WV and Arizona lose after leading??? That's been stressing me out more. I like the idea someone had of making a list of everything bad about your college, so if you get rejected, you can just be glad you didn't get in.

West Virginia was just pathetic, ugh...

the best surprise of my life was receiving that likely email from columbia. truly takes the pressure off, otherwise id be dying right now after my MIT rejection.

haosquared - Thanks! OK, so I'll hear from everything but Princeton on Thurs.

Anonymous - agreed. Once you know you're in something (I was accepted to Cornell), you're on a permanent high. I'm so tired of it all that I can honestly say I won't be upset now if I get rejected from everything on Thursday.

I was accepted at three other places, but I have to say, the high wears off pretty quickly, once I start thinking about the places I haven't heard from yet.

I don't think I can brace myself from rejections all-around on Thursday.

Once I got my likely letter from UNC, I was estatic. And now, the high is still there, nearly 3 weeks later, because I know that even if I get rejected, I still have a great school that will most likely accept me. I just wish that I learn from them first, but I guess not.

i'm going on a short road trip on thursday because i figured i don't want to be home when the emails come
