is anyone going to participate in the CHEMISTRY olympiad?

<p>the US chemistry olympiad is going to be held soon!!! is anyone going to participate?????
if you are,how do you prepare for it? because i just looked up the past exams and i found out that it's a lot harder than AP chem :(</p>

<p>Haha, yeah it's A LOT harder than AP chem. Unless you have a passion for chemistry and are willing to study it in a lot of your free time, it will be hard to get far in the Chem Olympiad.</p>

<p>I googled them. The national ones look much harder than the AP tests but the local ones look easier.</p>

<p>I did it last year along with the other top people in my AP Chem class and we all thought it was ridiculously hard. But then again, our teacher didn't tell us anything about it at all and we went in completely unprepared having done no studying. If we had studied it might have been different but they graded the tests right there and I know a lot of people came out with scores well below 50%.</p>

<p>when is the deadline for a teacher to contact the local director that the school is participating?</p>
