Is anyone here in the MIT EAPS program? (coming from an astrophysics student)

Hey everyone,

So I'm applying to grad schools next year, and MIT EAPS is definitely on the top of my list. Anyways, I'm an intensely interdisciplinary person with astro+physics+math majors, and I read academic journal articles (in every natural+social science field) for fun. My best LORs will actually come from atmospheric science professors (as I've taken a lot of grad-lvl courses - mostly from the atmospheric science department here). My primary interest is probably planetary science, but the intersection of EAPS and environmental science would also be extremely interesting for me.

Anyways - is anyone else here an EAPS major? Also, how competitive is the program in general? (as in, what percent of applicants do they take?)

Thanks!

I’m not an EAPS major, but I do know that MIT doesn’t admit people by majors. You’re admitted to the school as a whole rather than a particular division and don’t declare a major until you’ve had at least one semester.
