who is from ny that got in? i haven't got diddly squat and now am starting to think that maybe this is an ominous sign, that i am not in!! i HATE this, is this totally random, do you think whoever got admitted has heard by now, HONESTLY? Thanks, everyone.

Has anyone from South Eastern PA heard yet?

My D has not heard anything from American yet.

Im from NY, got in last week via email. but i have frieends in my school who havent heard anything yet, and are probably in so Kellyconn1 dont worry too much!

HAS ANYONE GOTTEN THEIR SNAIL MAIL FROM NY YET?

im in CT and i've gotten the "snail mail"

WHAT IS THIS SNAIL MAIL? Oh well, I am going to stop obsessing over this, my best friend just got into Harvard and now I am really feeling vulnerable! What can I do but sit and wait? If its meant to be, I am in, if not whatever! Have you ever heard of anyone getting into GW and not American?

Congrats, citizenerased!! Where else did u apply?

Waiting on:
Tufts
Cornell
Boston U
William and Mary
Wesleyan
University of Chicago

I was also accepted to American. Still waiting on Northeastern, BU, BC, Fordham, etc. Good luck to you!

yes you too!

it seems that a lot of people who apply to either AU or BU apply to both, and northeastern

im going to need lots of luck, i have a feeling im facing only one more acceptance letter, and 5 harsh rejections :(

what are your stats?

GPA: 3.8 uw/4.3 w
SAT: 1950/2400 (My SATs are my weakest point, especially since colleges aren't really looking at the writing score this year--to bad, since it was by far by highest score--750)
SAT IIs: Slightly better--1270 total (Literature and Spanish)
ECs: Lots (President of three clubs, Spanish tutor, job at smith barney, volunteering, etc.)
Recs: Great
Essays: Great (I hope)

With your stats, I'm sure you're not looking at 5 rejections. I'm not sure about Cornell, though...but you never know...

yeah, just have my fingers crossed. but i better get like 3 rejections, or else i wont be able to choose!

what do you want to major in?

I haven't decided for sure yet, but on my most of my apps I put down English w/ a minor in Spanish. However, I'm also interested in business and international relations. You?

i put myself down as undecided

i'm considering political science, with either gender studies, sociology or psychology. im interested in way too many things to choose yet. at least northeastern is good for experimentation

i got an e-mail the second weekend in march, ive never been to american.. is it nice? im hoping for georgetown and/or george washington. anyone have any valid advice regarding those three and their similarities/differences? ok well good luck to all who applied!

citizen, when you heard from american and northeastern were those early action? when did you apply and when and via what method did you hear? i also applied to both and have heard nothing, you are a much stronger student than i but curious. Thanks!

i got into northeastern early action, it took forever for the letter to get to me, it was nearly february when i got it but my counselor knew before then

for american, i applied regular and found out last weekend on sunday morning via email. it was just a congratulations email, to notify me because im international. i think for most nationals they will mail out notifications.

and does anyone know when honors college invites come?

and to the person before you, i've been to both georgetown and american and they are very different. georgetown has the classic gothic architecture, and everyone appeared to be very preppy. at AU, there were a lot more 'alternative' looking people, and a lot more political clubs advertized. and interestingly, AU is a dry campus and all the frats are off campus. but everyone there seemed really chill, and i ended up not applying to gt. i dont know about gw, but a friend of mine visited and said its really urban with no real campus. good luck with those two!

kellyconn1

i'm from ny and received my acceptance email this past thurs. there are a few kids in my class though who haven't heard anything.

i applied to northeastern and bc, as well. have any of you heard from bc?

no not heard from northeastern got a email from bc requesting some info but thats it, highly doubt i will get into bc, a far out reach but you never know how these things play out good luck, where else did you apply? indiana-bloomington,villanova,bu?
