Is anyone still waiting on Cornell?

Is anyone out there in my boat? I still havent gotten anything from cornell. Is that a bad sign?

uhm...the majority of us are

i dont think cornell has sent anything out yet...

my friend got accepted to cornell yesterday; however, she did get rejected to ucla

cornell said their site would be updated in march 31st......... just like berkeley. i dont know of anyone who has heard back from the arts and sciences college or whatever yet, but i know some of the other schools, such as agg school, are rolling admissions.

I got a likely letter...

nah i dont thnk so iits an ok school.

Cornell is an Ivy, and as such can't post decisions before April 1.

nope, haven't gotten anything from cornell yet. Though a few people from my school for the architecture and the arts and sciences college have gotten in, i'm waiting for aggriculture.

Good luck to everyone. ithaca is freaking freezing.

Can someone explain why Ivies don't give out results until April 1st? Thanks.

cuz they can do stuff like that

the person who got accepted was probably accepted into the State funded school (agriculture, hotel management) which have rolling admissions. Other than those, no Cornell schools send out decisions before April 1st/ March 31st.

Actually, cornell, dartmouth, etc... have been doing this "letter of intent" stuff lately. Although ivies wont give out concrete decisions before April 1, they have been notifying the top 25-40% of their appilicant pools that they have a strong chance of being accepted (= ACCEPTED). I havn't gotten one :(

Just because you haven't gotten a "likely letter" doesn't mean that they haven't accepted you.

Dude Im Am Seroiusly Gonna Orgasm In Broad Daylight, In Front Of My Parents, Out On The Streets, Anywhere If I Get Into Cornell

I got the letter saying I would very likely be accepted the same day I got letters from MIT and RPI. One of my friends from school got accepted to Cornell about a week ago, but it was into the agg school.

I don't have that "likely" letter as well... nooooooooo... :(

While the Ivies, have decided as a group not to give out admissions until April 1, they are allowed and do send out likely letters. A number of them are relasing their decisions on line late March 31.

Yale has sent out a few, Darmouth has sent out likely letters, Columbia SEAS has sent out likely letters, and Cornell both the NYS school and CAS have set out likely letters.

I don't get the likely letter... :(

It's really not that serious. The majority of accepted students don't receive one.
