Is anything to do with High School important? The grades for example

It anything to with High School life so important when it comes to Transfer Admission??

I am quite worried now because I did not do so well in high school.

Somebody was saying in this forum that even after we get accepted to UCs, we are required to submit the high school diploma or something.

Is it true?

Thank yo in advance!

yes, you still have to submit your high school transcript, but its not a factor for Uc admission. it will only factor in if you have less then 30units or if your transferring to a private school (ie. caltech)

They don’t see (you don’t send them) your high school grades until after your admissions decision. If you have 60 units, all they see is your CC transcript when deciding to accept/reject you.

Thank you for your reply!

The thing is I am an international student, and I did not graduate from American high school.

So, what is the point of submitting the high school transcripts? I do not understand why…

Will they reject students after, say, they find out the student actually flunked out and did not graduate from high school, even though the student completed 60 UC transferable units at CCC with good grades.

Thank you in advance!!

I think they want you to submit HS transcripts to prove you took languages if you used HS classes to complete the foreign language section of the IGETC. I’m sure there are other reasons too.

I don’t think they care whether or not you graduated from high school.

So, as long as we have completed 60 UC transferable units at CCC and IGETC as well as Major Pre-requisites, we do not have to worry about anything about back in High School. Is that correct?

thanks

Eh, if you didnt graduate from high school you might want to work on that before you try and transfer to a Uc.

I’m not sure about the answer to that, you might need atleast a GED (which you can get from a CC) but you should def ask your guidance couselor that question ASAP!!!

Best of luck!

If you graduate from an international high school you are not required to submit foreign transcripts unless you completed IB. (or maybe AP overseas). I’m an international student who is currently a junior at UCLA.
