<p>I believe more colleges grant credit for AP Chemistry than AP English, so that might factor into your decision.</p>
<p>A big word of caution re U of Chicago. If you HATE English, you may want to reconsider or do a lot more research before applying, because you are REQUIRED to take a full year of reading and writing intensive Humanities classes, regardless of your major, as part of their “core” program. It is not a good match for those who would rather have a tooth pulled than read Chaucer or Socrates. Add in major grade deflation [compared to most other colleges] and an emphasis on the “life of the mind” and you have a very challenging, non-typical college experience. Just something to think about.</p>
<p>don’t take AP English…at my school at least, it’s the bane of most peoples’ existence…I completely regret taking it…<em>ugh</em></p>
