I'm not taking the class but taking the test tomorrow morning. I studied for like 2 hours tonight and I have a lot of knowledge on the environment. I took some diagnostic tests and I mostly aced it, so what should I expect?

Haha, I’m also taking this tomorrow, but have yet to start studying…I sure hope it’s easy, though.

lol well good luck

I’m taking it tomorrow… it’s pretty easy. FRQs are a bit harder.

I don’t really think it’s that easy… the material is not hard to comprehend or anything but I mean, considering that ~30% of the people who take it get a 1 (which means about half the people who take it pretty much doesn’t pass) I have some doubt on myself.

Esp. since I felt like we didn’t do much in my class.

I think FRQs are harder too. MC is ok.

I took the test today. It’s not that it seemed hard, but we didn’t cover any of that stuff. We never talked about… bioremediation and all of those other words. I was able to figure out a lot of stuff on the fly. Our APES class seemed very theoretically based. We didn’t do any of the science stuff at all. So naturally I was totally screwed on the second essay (to be discussed in like, 45 hours).

The first essay kind of wrecked me, but the other FRQs were pretty easy (was I the only one who felt like I was spending too much time doing math?). The MC was kind of hard though. I answer more of them based off of my personal knowledge than what I actually learned…

MC: it wasn’t too bad I guess. Definitely not as easy as PR but not quite as challenging as that practice test they released.

FRQ: I too felt like we were doing way to much math…especially math that really would have been a lot easier had we been allowed a calculator. I still don’t understand why we cant use one.I think I could have done better on other questions had I not been spending time calculating math problems.

^amen. 10char

^^agreed
as my first AP, i thought that it was pretty easy, and answered like 88/100 mc. The FRQs weren’t bad, although i tried using scientific notation and it screwed me up for FRQ #4. I messed up the whole part a, but i answered the other parts pretty well; what do you think the highest possible score would be for that essay if i failed part a? like 6?

i thought that this test was ridiculously hard. A calculator is definitely neccessary if they are going to give us like 8 math questions in the MC. I wasted so much time on them and had way too many problems left at the end. Same with FRQ, I wasted a ton of time on the math one. I have taken 5 ap tests this year and I thought that was the hardest besides calc. it wouldnt have been bad if we couldve used a calculator, but that just made the time seem super short.

This test was so chemistry/math based. OMG!!!

Ok, MC- beginning, kinda hard…later was ok.

FRQ- I got two of them down pretty good, one ok. The first question killed me. I only a few general ideas, so it was basically bs.

FRQ was really really easy!! It’s weird because I usually suck at it! Definitely felt rushed on both sections. MC was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but it was still decent.

This test was way too focused on chemistry and pollution etc. The first FRQ question was kind of crazy, and the rest were ok. But, if we have to do division of numbers with decimals and all that crap, they should at least just let us use a basic calculator. Sure, we don’t need TI-84s or whatever, but just a simple calculator seems totally reasonable.

It was freaking hard!!! WAY too much math for a no calculator test- what were they thinking??? Also, the MC was ■■■■■■■■. I didn’t do ANYTHING for FRQ #2. FRQ 4 was super easy, FRQ 3 was pretty easy too. I completely BS’d FRQ 1 but couldn’t even BS FRQ 2 it was so hard.

I think I got like 2 MC right, the rest were complete guesses to the best of my ability, and I answered probably around 88/100 (skipped the ridiculous math questions).

It will be a miracle, a MIRACLE, if I even get a 2. I didn’t take the class and barely studied. My school doesn’t even offer the course though so :/

I thought the mc was okay, wasn’t too bad. There were some that were just out there and I had like no idea what the answers were, partly because my class didn’t cover it

FRQs were also okay in my opinion. I agree with the above posts; WAY TOO MUCH MATH. =__=|. That hurt my brain, but other than that, I thought it was alright.

I loved all the math. Everything I knew about Env. Sci. was from either Smartypants, or general knowledge. I made several educated guesses, but I knew all the math ones for sure, so that was a relief lol.

I agree there was too much math though. Even though us math savvy people loved it, I think some of it is too tough to do fast if you’re not good at math.

I’m good with math, even under pressure, just not without a FREAKING CALCULATOR!

Well, even though I thought FR question 1 was sort of hard… it wasn’t totally out there considering that APES covers pollution the most.

But yup, way too much math.
