<p>So I'm enrolling for next year's classes, and my school is offering AP Physics 1. It states that the AP Exam will be given in May. My school will start offering AP Physics 2 for the 2014-15 school year and offer the AP Exam in May 2015.</p>
<p>However, I was roaming around the College Board website and found a page about AP Physics 1 and 2 stating that both classes will be offered in the 2014-15 year and that the both exams will be administered in May 2015.</p>
<p>Is my school just blatantly wrong about their physics program next year or am I not getting the info right? It doesn't make sense for the College Board to start offering both years 1 and 2 of physics in the same year...</p>
<p>the AP Physics 1 and 2 exams will be offered for the first time in 2015, so the courses will start during the 2014-2015 school year. Why would it not make sense for them to start both of them in the same year? They cover different material</p>

I’m pretty sure that Ap Physics 1 and 2 only start in 2014-2015. So will the AP Physics B exam be there next year(2013-2014)??

<p>@GuitarANDMe, Apparently, the AP Physics 1 & 2 courses won’t be offered until 2014-15. Since both courses are replacing Physics B, I’m guessing that AP Physics B will still be offered next year.</p>
<p>I sure hope my school finds out what the heck is going on. I don’t want to have to deal with the counseling office for a class change… Unless they offer AP Physics 1 with no AP Exam… Oh the joys of wondering about senior year…</p>
<p>Oh, and @binatang, I was saying it wouldn’t make sense if they offered both classes the same year because, just by the course names of “1” and “2,” it seems as if AP Physics 2 would be a continuation of AP Physics 1 (with different material, of course).</p>

<p>Does anybody know what the changes are? Will Physics 1 be taught one year and then physics 2 the next year? Where does that leave Physics C?</p>
<p>@soccerboy24 from what i got when i was reading about 1 & 2, Physics 1 is the first semester of Physics B and 2 the 2nd sem. Yeah, 1 will be taught in one full school year and 2 in another full school year. </p>
<p>In my school, if someone’s taking C senior year, then they would either take physics honors or Physics 1 junior year (my school starts physics junior year). You don’t have to take 2 to do C. </p>
