Is AP Psych valued much by colleges?

So I have an empty slot left for next year and I don't know what to take with it. I'm already taking 3 APs, and I'm trying to decide for the last slot if I should take AP Psych or Anatomy and Physiology. I like A&P but does AP Psych appear more rigorous to colleges, simply because of the AP title? Which ones should I take?

Whenever you have the chance, always go for the AP option.

How many AP courses does your school offer, and how many will you end up taking?

I think you’ll be fine as long as your guidance counselor checks the “most demanding” box for your overall schedule.

halcyon My school offers about 20 APs and I will take around 6 by the time I graduate. Does it matter if I have 2 or 3 this year? Junior year is, as we all know, the one that matters the most, and I am able to take whichever. But is having an AP class better than just a regular science?

No 2 AP’s junior year is enough, there’s also other things to take into account like the sat’s. I actually think it depends on which class is worth more. It all depends on your major. If your majoring in a science similar to A&P, then I would take it. If you want to be a psych, or counselor then you should take psych. You know, because some uni’s only give credit to the class you took that links to your major. If you take A&P you can skip A&P in college and take a harder class that relate to it. Psych you can just leave for senior year or self study. I heard the class was pretty fun for senior year, so if there’s room I plan to take it. If there isn’t, no big loss, i’ll self study.
