I've been busting pretty undeniable 5s on the practice exams, given the curve, why do so few people score 5s? Maybe I have a really great teacher?

umm, its not hard for me

the last free response is typically hard..
take time on it... its very tricky....

I thought it was hard during the school year. Then I reviewed absolutely nothing and got a 5. Maybe my teacher was difficult.

The MC kills me... so yes, I think it's hard. Maybe I'll change my opinion after spending some more quality time with Barron's...

I hate you all. I suck at this

i just can't show work...

It was difficult for me at first but I'm getting better at it. Imo, the free-response is harder than mc, b/c of the showing all work part

memorizing the assumptions and knowing which test to use can be a pain in the butt

I was failing it at one point, but once you start paying attention, man do your grades go up...I should still make at least a 3 and with some study a 4/5 isn't impossible. I'm just not used to writing so much in math which is why I've done poorly.

is it required for the student to show their work in the FRQ to earn points? will the problem be marked wrong if the student only writes the answer, even if it is correct?

kchen, I haven't take Stats yet, but I'm 95% sure you'll get little to no credit for only an answer. Correct me if I'm wrong.

im lucky if i get a 4 and my teacher would be too

They grade the FRQ's on a 1-4 scale. If you only answer with no work, you will only get a 1.

darn :l guess i have to memorize basically all the equations since the sheet happens to not include the important ones. by the way, about how many mc raw score and free response is enough to get a 5? (i know there is a curve, so please generalize)

how many FRQs are typically on the AP Statistics exam?

The hardest part of statistics is "statistical inference" which makes up 48% of the syllabus.

is it just me, or do they give you way too much time on the multipole choice. I took a practice exam from Barron's and I finished in half the time.

They do but it's a good thing. However, usually for the FR, people don't have enough time so don't just assume since you had time on the MC the FR will be the same because a lot of people don't end up finishing the FR.

just found this:

scroll down several pages and find the content specific tips. Looks like osmething that would be good to review the day b4 the test
