planning to take ap stats and pre calc as a senior. Heard ap stats is easy but am not sure since i am able to skip statistics.

as a current student, the hardest part is the MC. FRQs can be mastered quickly, but MC’s take time.

mc’s? what?

MC = Multiple choice. And I agree with jelly765; some of the questions can get veryyy tricky (especially those that ask you what extent of an inference can be made; you have to read everything carefully).

With that said, AP Stats is a joke for those good at Calculus and will be hard for those who haven’t touched Calculus. This is just correlation, there is no actual causation.

I think people quite often underestimate statistics, AP or not. Yes, it’s certainly not calculus, but the more advanced probability theory and such isn’t a complete cakewalk. To put it bluntly, it’s more than mean median mode and makin them bar graphs.

^ and AP stats doesn’t even cover covariance or the Poisson distribution or the general equation for a normal distribution. AP Stats may be a joke, but statistics is a far more interesting subject.

AP Statistics is underestimated I agree, and it is one of the more difficult AP exams in my opinion.

I think it will be manageable but it is by no means an easy AP

I am in AP Stats and i get 1 sheet of homework that takes 15 minutes to finish a week, I think it depends on the teacher and school how difficult it is
