Is architecture right for me?

Ok, I know that I have been asking a lot of questions here on this website, but you guys are very helpful! :] So if you are annoyed by me don't answer, but if you want to help me out please do :].

To tell you the truth, I am SUPER nervous about architecture:

I don't know how to draw or I have never took any art classes.
That limits me to a certain amount of colleges. And also architecture is all about art believe it or not.

All the talk about how pursuing architecture as a career is not how you think it is also is making me nervous. I am indeed a creative person and I want to be able to create buildings(specifically houses) but from what I am hearing, that not what really architects do. I am also hearing that it is hard to get a job and the pay isn't much. For all those years that it takes to become a architect, I want a good reward.

All my life, I have loved medicine and I always wanted to become a doctor, but recently I opened my mind and I found my passion for architecture. But I am thinking since I have more experience in medical and think about it, they're could never be too much doctors, I should just stay in it :-/

So judging from the information above, do you think that I should try architecture or just forget it?

If you are truly passionate about architecture, you should try to get some experience in art and drawing. While it’s true that architecture is about art, your ability to think critically and design logically will be your greatest assets. If you aren’t 100% sure about architecture, you could do a BA in Architecture instead of BArch, or you could get a bachelor’s in something else and decide later whether or not you want to get an MArch.

If I knew then what I know now I’d actually go the direction and degree path towards:

Interior Design (with Historic Preservation)

and/or then

Landscape or (Art and) Architecture

over Architecture or even Civil Engineering

Why…B/C ID AND LA provide better jobs, similar pay, more leisure, more fun, more work, more interesting, more chill, more girls, more parties, more celebs,…
less controlled by the rich and powerful and their servants, less illegal or intern slave labor, less perfectionist, less girls, less squares, less stable

What do you exatcly do in the BArts program? Do they teach you architecture?

BArts? 10char
