I just wanna know if being ASB President is something that stands out on your application or not. If you know anything about this LET ME KNOW THANKSSS

It's a good thing to have, but it doesn't stand out in the larger application pool much. Many others around the country have been ASB President too.

It's what you do with it that counts.

yeah i know a lot of people have been asb president i just wanna that if you have all the other requirements can it give you the extra little bit to make admissions officers pick you. Like if they were choosing between you and someone else, assuming you were the same academically...

If you two had identical profiles, but you had that one extra EC, you might get in .. or they might get in because of a hook [race, legacy, etc] .. no guarantees.

so whats the deal on race in east coast schools. if your caucasian is it harder or easier to get in. i live in like a mainly asian area and all of them cant get into east coast ivies. whats the deal. who gets in the easiest???

wats asb 10

associated student body

it makes me think of someone who is has good social skills and exceptional leadership skills? 'cause ASB is a lot harder to become an officer of than say... a small club. it's just a lot more votes.. it's your whole freaking school.

that's just my opinion from what i've seen at my own school though. but i think it's an admirable accomplishment.
