is astronomy (hoping to take one with fillipenko) a good class?

right now, signed up for chem3a with lab and math1b so 9 units. i need 4 more but the ones i wanted to take are all full......and i'm not interested in others

is astronomy pretty doable? i heard fillipenko is an excellent professor, so it might be a fun class. plus i like the stars and the vast expanse of space (there isn't a lot of math in here right? lol)

which astronony class does he teach? and is it easy? considering i'm taking other hard classes.

thanks in advance.

why the heck is everything full…and then the ones i’m interested in that aren’t full conflict with schedule. this isn’t fair…sigh lol

oh, what about l&s 120C…fulfills a breadth…

and nothing else fits my sched, but not sure about difficulty of class or whether i should take a religious classa bout the bible…

Ok, I’ve narrowed it down to L&S 120C–the bible in western culture and Legal Studies 132AC with volpp?

which one should I do? also, if you can recommend any other good classes that fulfill breadth or do AC (the RanC class i wanted to take is full…)

Hey insertname,

if you are still interested in taking an astronomy class with filippenko, you should definitely do it! I am taking astro c10 with him and its a pretty interersting class and relatively easy compared to other classes. Astro c10 is only offered in the fall, so you should take it next fall! I hope the info helped
