Hey guys, i have just been accepted to auburn. however, i am wondering, is it a good school. i mean, when i come ou tof the school, will my auburn degree look good on an app.

where's auburn?.... is this the one in alabama? the only reason i know it is cause its football team is good this year. the other auburn i know is a town of 3,000 in the middle of the Sierra Nevadas...

Auburn is fine. Meddling by two alumni trustees, Colonial Bank CEO Bobby Lowder et al, has put accreditation in question. SACS is reviewing accreditation. I think they'll survive. Lowder and co. will probably be put out to pasture.

A degree from Auburn is fine. It's not extremely prestigious, but it's in the top 100 or US news, so it's a good degree. However, being in the middle of AL might be hell for you(it would be for me). I am not saying that out of prejudice against the south, I've lived in the SE my whole life, but Auburn is HUGE with greek life, partying, football(obsessive), it's rural and is a small town(like 2 bars total), and some of the fans/students are obnoxious. But I'm a UGA fan, so this might be biased, but I love Auburn people, and it's a good school.

Auburn is an awesome school. Famous alums include Bo Jackson. Just be prepared to hate the Crimson Tide with every cell in your body. Kind of how us OSU fans hate that school up north.

Go USC! lol, sorry, couldn't help myself...the mention of football got me going. :)

stronger programs tend to be technical...such as engineering, agriculture....

I was accepted to Auburn too! Back in July, of course, but still (don't take away my joy!!).. I applied on the suggestion of an instructor ... and well.. Auburn still vexes me.. They have two mascots, War Eagle and the Tigers.. :: shrugs ::
