I really want to go to Auburn University this upcoming fall, but I’m very nervous that I will not be able to fit in and make friends. I’m half-white and half-asian and I’m from the west coast. I know that Auburn isn’t known for being “diverse” in terms of their students. Will it be hard for someone who isn’t from the south and not being the majority race have a hard time being able to enjoy their time at Auburn by making friends and the such? Thanks!

Don’t think you’ll have a problem - my son (white) said he hasn’t noticed any racist statements/behavior but he’s in the band and engineering and it may be more diverse than the general population. I don’t believe this will be an issue but you should visit and if you’ve applied go to some of the invitation events.

My daughter is most likely going there and she is black. I don’t know if that helps.
