My school signed us up for the AP Test. OMG!!! I gave us a letter today saying the time/date of our exam. I have about 3 weeks to study for AP Physics B. Do you think the barron's book is good enough for AP Physics B? I don't want to use the PR book, because it is over 600 pages long and really big and bulky. It would be difficult to carry to and from school, and I can't study 600 pages in 3 weeks. Barron's seems like a thin/succinct book. I can borrow it from my teacher free of charge. Do you guys think it would be sufficient enough to score a 4+?

Please reply fast as I am running out of time! I have SAT's to study for also.
I also find the diagrams in the barron's book to be of more use than the PR diagrams.

Does anyone know? Please help me out. :( Has anyone tried and done well with barrons?

Barrons, from what I heard, is harder than the real test. However, you may want to look into Sparknotes, or Cliffnotes.

Is sparknotes a short book?

OoOps, nvm, I was thinking about a different subject for sparknotes.
But generally, Sparknotes are big books like Barrons.

PR, from what I've heard on this board, is by far the best book for AP Physics B. I'm reading it right now in fact and it is very straight to the point. It is actually around 400 pages if you are just taking the B portion because there are stuff in there about the C test. I'd use PR just for the conciseness and if there is time, use barrons to delve into the stuff a little deeper.

What about Barrons, is it good enough for like a 4+??

At this time, would you guys recommend going through all the chapters again in the textbook and practicing all the problems ? Or would you guys recommend solving the problems only from the PR book? I think I've forgotten some of the concepts from the earlier chapters in the first semester.

THanks

omg omg

lilkiller im in the same panic sorta mode as you!

I dunno how to study in 3 weeks!

I making a schedule and following it 'to the T' and going to review/ do a few problems on each type of problem

Haa, I just found a stupid mistake in Barron’s. My teacher recommends either Princeton Review or Barron’s because “they contain the least mistakes”. One of my friends found an error and wrote to Barron’s. What did she get back? A three-page of corrections from Barron’s. LOL
