While I really like the organization and detail of the BARRONS book, I just got pwned last night on the diagnostic test (missed 12). Is the BARRONS book a lot harder than the real one? (It certainly was harder than the APUSH test)

i'm not sure, but I strongly reccomend Kaplan. I loved the format. It was an easy read, and it got me a 760. If you're familiar with Kaplan I think you'll do fine. I'm sure the same goes for barrons, but I'm saying you'll probably have an easier time making it through Kaplan.

I just finished reading the review and started reading the sparknotes book online. I will be doing the sparknotes tests instead of barrons. Compare the sample questions provided on collegeboard.com and judge for yourself. I found barron's tests too specific. If you only missed 12 then you should give your mom a high five and call it a day.

how's the ap us history test compared to the sat II? easier, harder, the same?

the APUSH test was a joke. I think I aced the MC.

I read the barron's and took the '96 AP Exam test to study for the SAT US. Although I naturally love history, I think at least one full-fledged test made by the collegeboard itself gets you in the "right" thinking mode before the test to help you get a high score.

yeah barron's was harder than the real thing.

What do you guys think the curve is?

6-8 wrong = 800?
