Is Baylor Distinguished Scholars and Baylor Academic Excellence scholarships difficult to get?

@3lovingmom – my response is too late, but @crazy4info is correct that this new, so we didn’t go through it. I will say that in general more is better :). For my DD, after all of her scholarships were added up, not only was her full bill for everything paid, but they allowed her to have the rest for other expenses that aren’t paid to the school. In addition to that, she has been told repeatedly that tuition for summer programs will be covered in addition to everything else and not be used from the list “left over” money. She will likely go to Great Britain this summer with the neurology dept – her tuition will be covered, but not her travel expenses. We are certainly not complaining, but it does sound like the Getterman may cover some of these additional expenses that aren’t covered in the normal NM and faculty scholarships. Good luck!

Did anyone apply for Gettermans and if so, have you heard anything? Can’t find much info on CC about it.

Haven’t found out anything so far. Any updates?

About Getterman specifically

@sammyanntx and @1JediS my D heard back today around 3:20 CST. She made it through to the interview round in January! Yay!

DD heard she is an alternate today. Wondering now how many finalists vs alternates are selected.

@crazy4info Congratulations to your D!

@crazy4info It’s a great new. Congratulations and Good Luck to your daughter.

Thanks @NashvilletoTexas and @3lovingmom ! We will see…but glad she will go to the next stage. @Melzner --good luck to your DD.

Back to DSD scholarships…does anyone know how many they award? Is it a certain number per session?
