is being considered for NOP considered a "likely admission?"

I was called in to my GC's office today and she told me that I am being considered for one of their opportunity programs. i have an interview this thursday, and I am nervous.. should I get my hopes up?

that's what i want to know too cause i'm being considered for it too and i have an interview today.

at least more likely you otherwise would be. what are your stats (that made you academicaly eligible)?

i have really bad stats, so i dont want to get my hopes up...

4.0W, rank 11/337
700M, 580V, 650W
720 Math II, 680 Chem

Not nationally recognized in EC's, but I have a lot and im dedicated.

what's nop?

Maybe that means you got in? I don't know why Columbia would waste their time with opportunity programs and interviews if the student wasn't already accepted.

in the interview today they told me only 16 out of staters are accepted into the program, and 45 in all. my hopes ended right when she told me that.

:( ... why must we be tortured like this? I was never expecting an acceptance.. and now, there is hope, but chances are still slim. What kind of stuff did they ask in the interview?
