is being from a low-income really going to help??

family income of less than $30,000/year. i would be first generation college student. raised by a single mom. white ethnicity.</p>

<p>Have you taken the PSAT? I haven't looked at the QuestBridge thread to see if all the QuestBridge finalists were National Merit semifinalists. That would be one issue to look at.</p>

<p>Trust me. I'll save the rant, and just tell you I've got experience.</p>

<p>It depends on the school. My friend got into MIT. she finally got her financial aid package in the mail and b/c her mom makes like 40K a year, she got a full ride. Full tuition and money for traveling expenses to actually get there.</p>
