Hi everyone! I was an early admit to Cal so I have been trying to do as much research on the school as possible. I live in Florida and have never visited so it is a little difficult to really get a sense of it. If anyone could answer some questions I would be super grateful! I think I want to major in Econ and minor in Public Policy btw.

How difficult is it to get the classes you want and truly how bad is the grade deflation? Does it make you less competitive to firms after graduation compared to students from private schools w/o deflation?
-
What is this I hear about creating a major? Could I do a double major of Public Policy and Econ even if there is no PP major?
-
I am a little more conservative than your average bear (get it?), will that be a major problem?
-
I might want to rush, how big is the greek life, how much of a time commitment is it, etc.

I want to work in DC as a political consultant or work for the GAO (or similar careers), do many people go to DC to work/ how is Cal perceived there/ is the career center helpful?
Thank you guys SO much!
