Is Berkeley your #1 choice?

@anavera That is true, but things in LA ain’t that cheap either lol I just love how San Fran has totally different vibes although both SF and LA are big cities.

@CSB111 UCSD is a good school too. I got admitted in the first batch but the financial aid they gave me wasn’t that good and plus UCSD seems too quiet and peaceful? to my taste but again, no doubt it’s an amazing school! Good luck!

@JIMMYofW Congrats on your acceptances! well don’t lose hope, you never know with Berkeley admission…unlike other schools, they do pay attention on your ECs and essays.

@alsjfllakejfa What do you want to major in? I applied as molecular cell biology.

@CALmcb2014‌

I thought the same at first but the Village (transfer housing) is pretty lively and downtown San Diego/Gaslamp District is really a great area. They gave me better aid than UCSB too, but still not sure. I feel like I could love Berkeley or hate it. Goodluck to you as well!

@CALmcb2014 YES! BERK is def my #1!! It sounds bad but i literally think about it all day :l i just need to know. although i got into UCSD, Berkeley is the perfect situation for me, literally solving all of my problems. its an amazing school, good chemistry program, and its good bragging rights for certain family members of mine who’ve looked down on me all my life.

it is used to be my first choice but now it’s UCLA! I’m more of a Socal person :)) I like the semester system in UCB though. Maybe I’ll think about it if I get admitted hopefully :))

I didn’t even apply to Cal, and I am a member of the berkeley TAP program.

@Bookham Congrats on getting into UCSD! Yeah I’d really love to go to Berkeley… I am also stem major! Biology! and I sooo feel you on bragging to certain family members haha yeah prove them wrong! I have an aunt who always thought I was a failure :(

@miinhdadream That’s so weird because I actually prefer quarter system but I will deal with it if it’s for Berkeley haha I think I learn more during shorter and more intense session.

@CollegeDropout1 My college didn’t have TAP with Berkeley but they had it with UCLA… but you are lucky though, you should’ve applied…you never know!

@CALmcb2014‌ I only have a GPA of 3.45, so it is not exactly competitive for Cal . I also only have 1 of the 3 major prerequisites and I am not sure if I want to transfer this year. I figured that I would only apply to Cal if I decided to stay another year. Only then would I have a competitive GPA. I also figured that if I applied this year, and got rejected, (a very likely outcome) I would no longer be part of the TAP program.

@CALmcb2014 I applied as comparative literature but I wanted to try for double major/simultaneous degree in pure math. It’s too bad about the unit thing but I don’t think I’m getting into Cal anyway lol

@‌anavera

UCLA and Cal are both in expensive places to live in. Worth it though!

@‌Cayton
Yeah it’s super great there! You should consider visiting the campus once/if you get admitted

@‌ocnative

If I have the time/money, then sure, a visit to Cal would be a good idea.

I hope you get in to Berkeley, man. Just three weeks to go until Berkeley decisions are released!

We all know what day it’s being release, but what was the approximate time? 5pm?
