Hi i'm new here and I was wondering if majoring in biopsychology as a pre-med student would be the right choice in my endeavor to continue with med-school and become a psychiatrist. I was also thinking of taking on a history minor but was worried if that would really be useful or not. I appreciate any feedback. thanx.

does anyone have any feedback for me?

Do what you want.

No major/minor matters for your admission as much as people tend to think. What matters is your overall GPA and MCAT score.

My best advice (and many people will say the same thing) is to do what you like the best, not just for pre-med.

To go into Med-School, it does not matter what your previous major was–it could have been Art for all they care–just have the right GPA, and have good recommendations, and you should be set.
