There’s probably other things that I’ve forgotten in this “condensed” resume. But I’d appreciate some feedback. Thanks!

No, Brown is not a match for anyone

^True that. Sure, you seem like a good candidate, but there is nothing certain about your chances.

hello, i’m considering Brown too, but i don’t think anyone can just tell you if Brown will be a good match by looking at numbers and stats. carefully consider everything, and if you like it, then you like it!

you have an impressive application, but as sak09 said, there is nothing certain.
i would say, however, definitely go for it.
as a fellow asian female, altho with less of a chance, haha, GOOD LUCK!!
and kudos on ur 5 in chinese!

Brown employs a holistic overview of your application. Numbers and stats alone will not get you into Brown. Most importantly for Brown admission officers, they want to know if you’re a good person and a good match for the school. How do they know that? They know that by reading your essay.

Ask yourself this: Why do you want to go to Brown? If your answer is that Brown is an Ivy League and a top school, you need to look more carefully into the school, because that answer won’t cut it. Campus visit, scour the school’s website – look at what attracts you – does the school’s teaching philosophy match your learning style? That’s very important to know.

Most schools won’t be too harsh on your downward grade trend, which isn’t that bad by the way, because they may realize that moving to such a distant place in the world may have impacted you adversely. If you want to explain your situation, do that. Tell them how it impacted you, and what you did to make the situation better. In addition, tell them about what you could have done to make things even better. Now moving on — 7 APs by the end of Junior year is highly impressive. Other than that, your ECs look good, but your Awards and Honors are not the most significant. Your SAT of 2240 is also very good.

Overall, you’re a solid candidate, but Brown is not a match for anyone.

Chances: REACH
