If I like the community-feel typical of LACs, is Brown too large, too anonymous?

For someone who likes professor-student interaction, small, discussion-based classes, and a sense of community, is Brown totally off the mark? I love so many things about Brown: its location, its pride, its production of happy students, its freedom to choose who you want to be and how you want to live. I want Brown so badly, but does it have different values than I do? Am I disillusioned in my love of the place?

Brown has many 'LAC' qualities. Brown is much more similar to the open-curriculum LACs than it is to most other Universities. My D attends a Brown-like LAC, and the main differences I note are size-related. Brown has more social options and more course offerings, but otherwise the "feel" is very similar. A list that included Brown, Amherst, Vassar, and Wesleyan would be very cohesive/ consistent...

From what I heard from a Brown alum at an information night I went to last week, there is a lot of professor-student interaction and the professors are available and easy to talk to. They're really focused on the undergrads, too, not just the graduate students.
