Is brown underrated?

<p>According USNWR Brown is only like #14 or something, but according to students its #6, just behinds HYPSM</p>

<p>Also, i understand the numbers have changed Now with more kids choosing real urban schools.</p>

<p>Brown is amazing! It is absolutely underrated!</p>

<p>I rather like that Brown is a bit underrated – I suspect it’s a factor that makes Brown the school with the happiest students. Those who split hairs about which college has the most “prestige” tend to go elsewhere, while those who appreciate Brown’s unique culture choose to stay.</p>

<p>Brown has a smaller endowment and smaller graduate school which hurts its ranking. There is not a direct link between these factors and the quality of undergraduate education. If you took out things like alumni donations, endowment, law school vs no law school, selectivity, and actually focused on more relevant and more detailed factors rankings would be much more accurate.</p>
