Is BU a safety for me?

<p>Im planning my college list, and I’m applying for engineering major (female btw). Appreciate it lots :P</p>

<p>SAT: 600 CR Math 740 W 690 (essay 9)
Taking in Oct hoping for 660 CR, 800 M, 740 CR (essay 11)
SAT II: 750 USH, 730 Bio M
Taking Math II in Nov hoping for 750+</p>

<p>GPA: 3.90
6 APS (a lot for high school)
5 AP BIO, 4 USH</p>

<p>Job Experience:

  • 3 weeks at Law Firm (Summer 2011)
  • Oct 2010 - Present: English tutoring at English Tutoring Center
  • 1 week at Architecture Firm (Summer 2011)
  • 2 weeks at High School’s Summer school as TA
  • A few weeks at another English tutoring center
  • (looking for an Engineering firm, eating lunch with this Engineering guy next week to look for jobs )</p>

<p>I wouldn’t call it a safety. It’s a strong match, but because BU is such a strong nationally known school you never know.</p>

<p>Definitely not a safety, I’ve seen 2100s get rejected :o Also since engineering is one of the better schools at BU.</p>

<p>There is no such thing as a safety anymore, unless the school has guaranteed admissions with certain stats. Your stats suggest a solid match at BU, but it is a crapshoot, just like many other schools.</p>
