Is BU fun?

Hey everyone I’ve already submitted ED to Boston University and I have decently high chances of getting in, but I’m sort of worried about student life at BU. I know it isn’t a party school but are there parties? Is BU fun? or is it more academically driven? I’m really just looking for the super fun stereotypical college experience and I’m starting to feel like I might not be able to get it at BU based on some other threads. I’m worried.

Where did people tell you there arent parties or drinking or anything? That’s all so many people ever talk about here honestly and its ridiculously annoying. So if that’s what you want you’ll be just fine. “Fun” is subjective, so I cant really tell you if you’ll find it fun, but most people highly value academics here (in that they want a good gpa, so they put in some work for it)

Your parents would be proud to spend $65,000/year for you to have fun.

If you want to have fun, join greek life and you will be fine.

Okay, obviously Boston University is good for academics, so I’m not worried about that. Calm down.

Hi! Currently a freshman, and party culture is very fun here. I chose not to go out the first month or so of school because I wanted to focus on starting off with good academics, but I have been out going to frats/other parties now and it’s been very fun! I am not in Greek life nor do I plan on joining a sorority but it’s pretty easy to go and party even if you aren’t in Greek life directly. If you have any specific questions definitely reach out!

Thank you this is very helpful!
