Is C of C is worth the money for out-of-state students?

My husband, D and I attended ASW and enjoyed it very much, especially the chance we had to talk with a few faculty members in subjects of interest to her. However, as far as we know, D isn’t getting any scholarship money from the school. Another out-of-state public university has given her a scholarship, and she’s also been accepted to two in-state schools, which are pretty highly regarded. Bottom line: Between tuition and transportation, it will cost about $20,000 more a year to send her to C of C than an in-state school, and I’m not yet convinced it’s worth the money. If we lived in South Carolina, it would be a no-brainer. Of course, if we lived in South Carolina, D probably would want to go somewhere else…

It’s interesting. We met a kid from our town at ASW, and his father told me the University of South Carolina has offered him $20,000/year, but C of C has offered him nothing.
